SOMETHING NEW AND GREAT!
A new area of this website was just created = DD6's HIKEnBIKE TRAIL. Please read all about it. There could be nothing better to hear about!
Montgomery County Trails is a clearinghouse for Walking and Biking TRAIL information in Montgomery County, Texas. But soon we hope to be more than that. We could possibly get our feet wet and build some trails. If your feet want to help build trails, please CONTACT us.
Make sure to use and abuse our Links & INFORMATION area! The idea of TRAILS is not something new. There is so much information about them. We hope to gather and disseminate that knowledge. So please take a look.
AND then look outside at the existing TRAILS, and gather round. Round and round we go until we will have a community that can easily enjoy NATURE in our neighborhoods, and BETWEEN our neighborhoods. Our kids could ride their bikes to school so our roads and cars are needed less. We, as parents, could ride to work (if we work in The Woodlands), or we could ride to the PARK & RIDE. Before or after work, rather than getting on the treadmill we would get on a bike, or just hike. As a family we could go for a ride........
The Woodlands is a community that has all the above available for it's homeowners. But this is not the norm, we should all be so fortunate. So, for us less fortunate (on the East side of I-45), we need to plan now, so that later, we can also live in such a hike and bike friendly community.
In the beginning, the trail is small. BUT, we hope to develop "it", and us, into something BIG. And only with your help can we do that!
